Transcript:

0:00 So, this is the second attempt of me trying to explain how easy it is to set up your iPhone as a, um, camera that records your face when you're doing a loom screen recording.

0:14 So, I don't know if you know loom, but it's probably one of the easiest and the best, um, screen recording apps out there.

0:23 But if you have a shitty front-end facing camera as, like, I do on my Macbook Pro, well, then you probably want to connect this camera, or use this camera as a, uh, with your iPhone.

0:39 And I've, I've, I've, I've went, I've went over a couple of YouTube videos and all of them are trying to sell you or rec- command you, like, some bullshit third-party apps, um, and I was on the- almost, I almost downloaded one, uh, already, but, um, it's so much way easier than that.

1:01 There's one important thing that you need to know, um, and that is, um, you are not a- you will not be able to do this with your Chrome extension, but you need to download the- um, you need to download the desktop app.

1:16 And once you have the desktop app downloaded, where the f*** are you now? Screen recorder. And once you have the desktop app downloaded, you just install- install it, uh, to your device.

1:29 And then there are two things that you need to- to- to do. First, your Mac book- and your iPhone need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi.

1:41 And the second, you need to allow, uh, camera to access loom- to- to read- to access loom application. And that's pretty much it.

1:52 And then when you are- when you are now, I don't know where- probably here I won't be able to show you, but maybe we can do this loom.

2:00 Mm-hmm. Interface. Mm-hmm. And when this screen pops up, uhh, when this screen pops up, you will- you'll be able to choose slides a bit newer now.

2:17 Um, you'll be able to choose, uh, your- your iPhone as a camera. Um, just pop it to the- stand to the camera stand, and you're- you're good to go.

2:28 And this video has been recorded with my iPhone, um, iPhone phone. And that's it. No third-party apps, um, no hard installations or, uh, synchronizations.

2:41 You just need to download desktop app, connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi, and allow- you iPhone to allow- loom to access your camera.

2:52 And, uh, you ready to go? And hope I- I will spare you a couple of hours of researching, uh, like I did.

3:02 Take care.
