A tweet floated onto my timeline, praising the partnership of Canva with ChatGPT.
I was intrigued, I have to say.
The tweet made it sound like I could craft, edit, and finalize graphics with mere text prompts.
Much like the IKEA Effect from my earlier exploration into psychology, here was an opportunity for hands-on involvement, so my immediate instinct was to dive in.
But instead of the transformative experience I had envisioned, the plugin primarily allowed me to “search” Canva through ChatGPT.
The depths I had hoped to explore were, in reality, rather surface-level.
For instance, the act of crafting a graphic inside ChatGPT’s conversational interface was relegated to a mere query-and-fetch mechanism.
The idea of ai chat based design tool sound great. I cant wait for it to happen but, sorry Canva, this is not it.
Still a fun search helper to find templates faster and maybe have a fun creative director to iterate design ideas with.
Oh, But how do I create a fun creative director to iterate design ideas with? you might as? Well, search no more, since my speciality is creating ChatGPT personas to make your life easier.
I even created my own Framework around it. You can find it here.
