What is ChatGPT?
OpenAI has developed a new AI model called ChatGPT, which is optimized for dialogue and has been trained using human feedback. This model is similar to GPT-3, which is the latest language model from OpenAI.
OpenAI has made ChatGPT available for free during its research preview period. To use the platform, you can visit the OpenAI website and click on the “Try ChatGPT” button. You can either sign up for a new account or use your existing OpenAI account to access ChatGPT. On the website, you can also find a sample of ChatGPT in action to help you get started.
I did a bit of searching and casually, everyday-like using it in the last couple of days. The first thing that makes the user experience completely different is obviously that there are no ads (for now), and second, the more intuitive way to get the desired results.
What actually were the sources of training data, how biased, reliable, or punctual they are, is a topic for itself. The ChatGPT delivers this as an answer “My training data comes from a wide variety of sources, including books, articles, websites, and other publicly available text data.”
The biggest minus compared to Google is that it does not provide real-time data. It’s only able to provide answers and information based on its pre-existing knowledge, which is derived from the vast amounts of text data that it was trained on.
I was using it over the weekend and all day today as a tool for my everyday google searches and I’ll be damned, just now i realise, i was googling way less today than average.
Could it be possible, that ChatGTP is the Google of new era?
