Me and my team at Escapebox, we create a ton of quizzes for our clients and their customers.
It’s been our main online product and for some good reasons. We delivered a lot of value for our partners and users really do love them.
They’re educational, fun and interactive … they involve and engage users and teach them new this, which plays a crucial role in why most of the people like interacting with them.
In the last two years we built over fifty quizzes in different industries, for different audiences and with different content. tone and design.
Quizzes usage (or plays as we prefer to call it) ranged from 10s of thousands to just tens with some.
So before I talk about the tool we built, I need to explain how our quiz development process works.
The reach and impact of our quizzes are undeniable, but the process of creating them has been quite labour-intensive.
That’s where the idea for our tool stemmed from. To craft a compelling and engaging quiz, we have a systematic approach:
- Define the target audience: Understanding who will play the quiz is paramount. It helps in tailoring the content, design, and tone to resonate with that specific group of people.
- Research the topic: We don’t merely throw questions together. It’s a careful process of researching to ensure our quizzes are informative and relevant.
- Craft the content: This involves creating an enticing headline, a clear description, setting up the rules, and formulating the questions.
- Visualize: No quiz is complete without visuals. They make the content pop and keep the audience engaged.
- Structure in JSON: This technical step is crucial. It involves putting everything we’ve created into a .json file, making it ready for our quiz tool.
- Push to the world: The final step is importing the file into our quiz tool and releasing it to our eager audience.
Sounds pretty thorough, right? It is. But it’s also time-consuming. And in the fast-paced digital world, time is of the essence. That’s why we decided to innovate.
On the side, with every new project we land, we’re improving our ChatGPT quiz tool.
The main objective of the tool?
Speeding up our quiz content creation without compromising on quality. As of now, our tool is in its second version. While it’s proficient at generating content, especially in the Slovenian language, it’s not without its quirks.
The outputs are around 70-80% accurate. This means while some of the content is spot on, others need grammatical tweaks and contextual adjustments.
But here’s the silver lining: Even with its imperfections, the tool has slashed our production time by more than half. And we’re not stopping there.
We’re already working on the third update, aiming for improved language accuracy and more contextually relevant content for each quiz.
How does our tool work?
- Select the number of questions you want in the quiz.
- Define the primary quiz topic.
- Add sub-topics for a deeper dive.
- Describe the content style and target audience.
- Define the objective of the quiz.
- Optionally, integrate your content into the quiz.
The flexibility and ease of use have been game-changers for us at Escapebox.
To conclude, quizzes have been the heartbeat of what we do at Escapebox. And with this new tool, we’re not just making quizzes; we’re revolutionizing the way they’re made.
