#tool – How to Remove Paywall on a website?

Yes, it sure is a bit annoying when you just trying to read an article, but it’s actually clickbait and you end up browsing to a domain (and get indexed by ads tags) to leave without reading a single line of text.

As the name suggests RemovePaywall removes paywalls from articles to allow users to get the article without paying or logging in.

All you have to do is enter the URL of the article into the search bar.

What paywalls can be removed?

“There are two types of paywalls that block articles: hard paywalls and soft paywalls. The difference is that soft paywalls are used to cover the article, but the article is on the page. Hard paywalls do not have the article until the user pays. This means that there is no way to see the article unless you pay. One example of this is TechCrunch premium articles. The best way to know would be to test the article and see if the paywall is removed. If not it is most likely a hard paywall that cannot be removed.” say the authors of the tool in their FAQs.

I am tired of being recommended an article just to be hit by a paywall or a login page. In my opinion, they clickbait the user to go on their site and it seems unfair.
