NEW ChatGPT memory feature

Ok, I’m a bit late to the party … or you could say my memory is a bit slow, but cut me some slack, I’m on holiday and I did log out for a while.

But then again I’m not, since this feature has been rolled out to only a handful of people in the first batch. But, OpenAI has not been resting and has announced two HUGE new features. Well, one new feature and one new product.

ChatGPT now has memory!

And, maybe even more groundbreaking – also a new produc. They just released called Sora. More about Sora in upcoming blogpost.

So … back to nice old memories from the first ChatGPT versions. A look into a time (just like half a year ago) when we were all so amazed that ChatGPT came out, gave us powerful assistants and helped us improve our lives with mundane and repetitive tasks.

But since then, we’ve all become way more demanding on what we expect out of AI tools and ChatGPT in particular.

But, development in AI field is not slacking … so, lets look at what this new ChatGPT memory feature is, what it does and how it can help you.

ChatGPT Memory Feature: What it is, what it does and how to use it?

ChatGPT Memory feature alows ChatGPT to remember details from previous – old conversations to make future interactions more personalized and efficient.

Now you have full control over ChatGPT’s memory, including the ability to:

  • instruct it on what to remember,
  • check what it remembers, and
  • command it to forget specific details or turn off the memory feature entirely.

How to turn on ChatGPT memory?

The feature is initially rolled out to a small group of ChatGPT Plus users for testing, with plans for a broader rollout announced soon.

Examples of ChatGPT memory will result in remembering your meeting preferences, understanding your business and it’s context better, and recalling your personal details and liking for serving youy better.

It’s all about making interactions feel more you. And, as always with OpenAI, You’ll e in control. OpenAI lets you decide if your chats help improve the model. They’re cautious with your sensitive info. Think twice before sharing stuff you’d keep private.

I think this update is a big deal. It’s pushing ChatGPT toward a future where AI chats are more personalized. Evolving with you, setting the scene for what’s next in AI’s personal touch.

What do you think?
