#loyalty Microsoft Rewards loyalty program

I was today years old when I found out Microsoft has a Microsoft Rewards loyalty program.

And not just that.

They have it for … not kidding now … over a decade!

What!?! 😳

Microsoft Rewards was first introduced in the United States in September 2010.

Over the years, the program has evolved and expanded to include more rewards and benefits, and it is now available in many countries around the world (Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, United Kingdom, United States by time this post was written).

So, what is Microsoft Rewards loyalty program?

Microsoft Rewards is a loyalty program offered by Microsoft that rewards users for engaging with Microsoft products and services.

Users can earn points by searching the web with Microsoft’s Bing search engine, shopping at the Microsoft Store, and participating in surveys and special offers.

These points can then be redeemed for a variety of rewards including gift cards, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions, and entries for sweepstakes and giveaways.

In order to participate in Microsoft Rewards, you need to have a Microsoft account and be a resident of a country where the program is available.

Once you have signed up, you can start earning points and redeeming them for rewards.

The program is free to join, and Microsoft periodically updates the list of available rewards to keep things fresh and interesting.

Overall, Microsoft Rewards is a great way to get something back for using Microsoft’s products and services, and it’s a fun way to engage with the Microsoft ecosystem.

Whether you’re an avid Microsoft user or just looking for a way to earn some rewards for doing things you already do, Microsoft Rewards is definitely worth checking out.

But the one thing that interests me the most is, how smart will Microsoft be in incorporating the ChatGPT in the program.

While Google shares already experience the negative effect of ChatGPT (for them) and Microsft of course complete opposite, the question is, how big of a winner will Microsoft come out of this?

And since gamification can play a vital role in user retention and stronger program acceptance, I do hope, they’ll revitalize and update the program, and especially offer it to more users in more countries.
