I stumbled upon a tool called DialMe on Twitter. I was surprised to realize that I was engaged for a much longer time than I usually am with standard forms.
DialMe is a tool that uses AI to conduct interviews … or let’s put it differently, interacts with users. So, instead of filling out forms, users talk to an AI voicebot.
And if you’re anything like, when you start talking … you talk. And I mean talk.
This makes the process more like a conversation. Even the voice (in English) is pretty descent.
For now, the tool is mostly used for things like job interviews, getting feedback from employees, exit interviews or learning what users think.
But I’m a marketer, so this got me thinking …
Chatbots have been one of the key features of the modern web experience for quite a while now. But, as Marinela Potor put it nicely in her article about chatbots and voicebots, “it’s tricky for companies to simply take a text-based bot, and turn it into a voicebot, without any adjustments.”
And I agree. That’s why I think small tools (or teams) building voicebots first, not on top of chatbots, can have leverage here.
And that’s why this got me thinking about the future of user interactions and interfaces. We’re definitely, and quite fast, transitioning into an era of voice interfaces. Earphones age. AI Agents generation.
The idea is to make the online user experience more human-like. So visiting an e-commerce store won’t feel much different than visiting a brick-and-mortar shop.
Imagine replacing those old, boring feedback forms with lively, AI-driven conversations. Just like you have in the sales persona has a good day. That’s what quality and natural AI voice bots brings to the table.
It’s like having a chat with your customers, but through a smart, understanding AI. This means you get to know what your customers really think and feel, not just what they type into a box.
Think about the time you save. AI does the heavy lifting, collecting insights while you focus on what matters – crafting those perfect marketing strategies.
I think we’re entering an age where AI agents and voice interfaces are becoming the norm. The transition is fast and fascinating. With tools like DialMe, the online experience will become even more human.
The implications for marketing and sales are huge. DialMe’s AI voice bots offer a level of interaction that text-based chatbots can’t match. They understand nuances, emotions, and can engage in meaningful conversations. This is more than just convenience; it’s about creating an better experience.
At least for people that love to talk …
